April 24, leaders of Vinh Long province held a meeting with Ham Giang Construction Co., Ltd to remove obstacles for four large-scale projects invested by Mr. Tram Be’s company, according to Nguoi Lao Dong.
The four projects are: the Dinh An General Terminal Wharf Area; the Tra Cu Port construction project; the infrastructure for the residential and service area for the seafood processing sector; and the Tra Cu Port industrial zone.
The total land area involved is 468 hectares, with a total investment of over VND 5.919 trillion.
At the meeting, Mr. Tran Van Lau, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Mr. Tran Tri Quang, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, asked the company to review the full progress, develop a detailed plan, and promptly implement the remaining items that have not yet been obstructed.
The province also pledged to support issues within its authority, including infrastructure connections—particularly the access road to the Dinh An General Terminal.
According to Mr. Tran Van Lau, all four projects have slow progress, and some have not yet started.
For the Dinh An General Terminal, the province said a concrete plan is required, along with balanced capital arrangements, and submission of the plan to relevant authorities. The stated target is to put the terminal into operation in 2027.
For the remaining projects, the company was urged to proceed promptly or clearly determine whether to proceed; if proceeding, it must commit to a schedule.
