Foreign investors and proprietary traders sold off in unison on 23/04, with net selling dominating the session compared with net buying.
Foreign selling was stronger than 1.7 trillion VND on 23/04. Selling pressure was heavy across several bank stocks and large-cap names. FPT led the group of stocks sold with net selling of over 265 billion VND.
Banks including ACB, VCB, CTG, and VPB were among the top decliners. In addition, several large-cap stocks such as VHM, VRE, GEX, BSR, and MWG were also among the top sellers.
On the buy side, PVT and VNM were the strongest net buyers. However, the net buying size was only around 55 billion to more than 70 billion.
Self-trading continued to post a net selling day, with the day’s value near 480 billion VND. SHB was the focus of net selling with nearly 300 billion VND.
On the opposite side, MWG was the strongest net buyer, but the value was only around 50 billion.
