To meet passenger travel demand during the 30 April–1 May holidays, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV) announced adjustments to slot-coordination parameters at Tan Son Nhat International Airport for the 30 April–5 May 2026 holiday period.
The CAAV raised the slot-coordination parameters for take-off and landing, taxiways, and safe-operation services from 44 flights per hour to 46 flights per hour during daytime hours from 6:00 to 23:00, covering 25 April to 5 May 2026 at Tan Son Nhat Airport.
CAAV Director General Vuong Viet Dung said the adjustments are implemented flexibly, efficiently, and economically by reviewing actual capacity, optimizing peak hours, avoiding aircraft holding in the air, and prioritizing key routes.
The measure is intended to reduce fuel consumption amid limited fuel supply due to the conflict in the Middle East, while ensuring absolute safety and stable airport operations to accommodate holiday travel demand.
