XRP price started a fresh upward move above $1.350 and $1.3550, following similar momentum in Bitcoin and Ethereum. The move gained pace after XRP broke above the $1.3620 resistance.
Earlier, XRP broke above a rising channel with resistance at $1.3400 on the hourly chart for the XRP/USD pair. The bullish move pushed the price toward the $1.3850 area, where a high was formed at $1.3836. After that peak, the price began a minor pullback, dropping below the 23.6% Fib retracement level of the upward move from the $1.320 swing low to the $1.3836 high.
At the time of writing, XRP is trading above $1.3650 and the 100-hourly Simple Moving Average. If the upward move continues, resistance is expected near $1.3750.
The first major resistance is near $1.3850. If XRP clears this zone, it could rise to test $1.3880. A clear move above $1.3880 may open the way toward $1.4120 resistance. Further gains could extend toward $1.4250, with the next major hurdle for bulls seen near $1.450.
If XRP fails to clear the $1.3850 resistance zone, it could start a fresh decline. Initial downside support is near $1.3600. The next major support is around $1.3520, also aligned with the 50% Fib retracement level of the move from the $1.320 swing low to the $1.3836 high.
Should XRP break down and close below $1.3520, the price could continue lower toward $1.3440. The next major support sits near the $1.3320 area, and below that, XRP could move toward $1.3250. The main support is cited at $1.3120.
