On April 12 in Hanoi, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front held the 7th Presidium meeting of the 10th term to discuss and collect input on draft documents to be submitted to the 11th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for the 2026-2031 term.
At the meeting, delegates discussed and provided opinions on the draft documents for the 11th National Congress for the 2026-2031 term. They also reviewed proposals related to endorsing and electing personnel to participate in the Central Committee, the Presidium, and the Standing Committee, as well as appointing Deputy Chairman positions of the Central Committee for the 2024-2029 term.
Mr. Hoàng Công Thủy, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, presented reports and sought delegates’ opinions on the Draft Political Report for the 11th National Congress for the 2026-2031 term; the Draft Report on activities of the Central Committee, the Presidium, and the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for the Xth term; and the Draft Congress Program and Draft Rules of Procedure of the Congress.
The Draft Political Report for the 11th National Congress includes two new points.
The Political Report is titled “Enhancing the central political role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in promoting democracy, patriotic tradition, the strength of national unity, and building a prosperous, strong, thriving, and happy country,” with the motto “Solidarity - Democracy - Innovation - Creativity - Development.” In addition, the Standing Committee is developing two options for the Congress program.
The 11th National Congress is scheduled to take place from May 11 to May 13, 2026 at the National Convention Center (Hanoi).
