Agribank has blocked more than 91,000 money-transfer transactions and payments after detecting suspected fraud. As of early April 2026, its AgriNotify fraud detection and alert service recorded over 200,000 transaction alerts, of which more than 91,000 transactions were paused or canceled, with a total value of over 360 billion dong.
Agribank said it is among the first banks to deploy AgriNotify, a solution designed to detect and alert suspected fraudulent accounts. The system has been rolled out across multiple transaction channels, including Agribank Plus and eBanking services (mobile and internet banking) for transfers within the Agribank system and for interbank faster payments.
At teller counters, AgriNotify also supports alerts for transfers to accounts opened at Agribank and four other banks: BIDV, VietinBank, Vietcombank and MB. This allows customers to receive warnings not only through apps, but also during in-person transactions, enabling them to assess the risk before completing the transfer.
According to the State Bank of Vietnam, by March 23 the SIMO system—an information system supporting risk management, monitoring and fraud prevention in payments—had been deployed to 149 units, including 99 credit institutions and 50 payment intermediaries.
The State Bank reported more than 688,000 records of payment accounts, e-wallets, bank cards and payment-accepting entities showing signs of fraud or violations of law. The system has alerted more than 3.5 million customers, including more than 1.1 million warnings that paused or canceled transactions, with a total value of nearly 4,000 trillion dong.
Banks said that as soon as customers enter the recipient’s information for a transfer, the system automatically cross-checks that data against information from relevant authorities and the bank’s internal systems to detect irregularities. If risk is detected, alerts are displayed immediately, giving customers an additional basis to consider before transferring money.
Alerts are classified into three levels: high-risk accounts (listed on authorities’ alert lists), medium-risk accounts (signs of suspicion or irregularities), and unverified accounts (recipient information not matching the National Population Database).
The State Bank said it will continue strengthening the collection of payment accounts, e-wallets, bank cards and payment-accepting entities suspected of fraud and upgrade the technical infrastructure to broaden deployment of query-state-of-suspect services for credit institutions and payment intermediaries that need them.
Premium gym chains are entering a “golden era” that is ending or already in decline, as rising operating costs collide with shifting consumer preferences toward more flexible, community-based ways to exercise. Long-term memberships are shrinking, margins are pressured by higher rents and facility expenses, and competition from smaller, more personalized…
