Anthropic scales Claude AI across 7 small business apps

Anthropic on Wednesday (May 13) announced Claude for Small Business, a package of connectors and ready-to-run workflows designed to bring the company’s Claude AI assistant into tools commonly used by small businesses.

Claude for Small Business runs inside existing platforms such as QuickBooks, PayPal, and HubSpot, with the goal of handling work that often accumulates after hours—such as planning payroll, chasing invoices, or kicking off marketing projects, Anthropic co-founder and president Daniela Amodei said in the company’s release.

How the offering works

Anthropic said Claude for Small Business is delivered through integrations that embed Claude into business software customers already use. The company said the product currently integrates with seven tools.

Key integrations and capabilities

Several partners described how their platforms will connect with Claude for Small Business:

• Canva: The integration of Canva Design Engine into Claude for Small Business is intended to help small business owners develop branded campaign assets, including Instagram posts, Facebook posts, and custom ads.
• PayPal: Claude is expected to handle tasks such as invoicing and refunds, while requiring approval before anything is sent or paid.
• Intuit QuickBooks: Intuit said its agentic AI capabilities integrated into Claude for Small Business will help small businesses reduce complexity in managing finances, accelerate payroll workflows, and generate data-backed insights.
• HubSpot: HubSpot said its integration will allow go-to-market teams to access HubSpot context wherever they work, enabling tailored answers, summaries, and visualizations from the customer platform to support segmentation, campaign execution, and lead generation.
• DocuSign: DocuSign said the integration will support sending contracts for signature, tracking status, and filing the executed copy.
• Google Workspace and Microsoft 365: Both are listed as integrating with Claude for Small Business, according to Anthropic’s release.
