LinkedIn’s marketing team was affected by layoffs announced on Wednesday, according to an email sent by Chief Marketing Officer Jessica Jensen. The memo said the company is reducing roles across the marketing organization to cut costs, citing a more competitive growth environment, rising infrastructure expenses, and changes in how work is done as AI reshapes business processes.

The memo also said LinkedIn will set teams up for success by consolidating groups that do similar work across Creative CoE, Scaled Solutions, and Small Business Marketing. It added that the company will embrace AI-enabled tools and workflows intended to extend human creativity and judgment.
Jensen wrote that those leaving the company will receive further communication. For employees who remain, the memo said colleagues will be asked to support departing coworkers. The company plans to hold an all-marketing team meeting to provide clarity and allow questions, with updates posted on the Marketing Hub.
