For April 2026, Khanh Hoa province is estimated to have welcomed about 900,000 lodging guests, up 31.7% year-on-year. International visitors accounted for about 350,000 guests, up 40.2%, while domestic visitors were about 550,000, up 26.9%. Total tourism revenue in April reached around 7,000 billion VND, up 46.7%, marking the largest increase in many months.
In the first four months of 2026, Khanh Hoa hosted about 3.5 million lodging guests, up 24.4% from the same period in 2025. International visitors totaled 1.4 million (up 33.8%), while domestic visitors were about 2.1 million (up 18.6%). Total tourism revenue for the period is estimated at 27,415 billion VND, up 34.6%.
From the start of 2026 to now, Khanh Hoa has welcomed 29 international cruise ship calls, with more than 45,701 passengers disembarking to visit the area. According to cruise line schedules, from now until the end of 2026, Khanh Hoa will host 18 additional cruise calls, a positive signal for the recovery and growth of cruise tourism.
On 28 April, Cam Ranh International Port received two international cruise ships, Piano Land and Seven Seas Navigator, bringing nearly 2,025 passengers ashore for sightseeing. Piano Land (Bermuda) departed from Hong Kong (China) with 1,611 passengers, mainly Chinese nationals. The group stayed in Khanh Hoa until 3:00 PM on 29 April before continuing to Hong Kong.
On the same day, Seven Seas Navigator (Bahamas) departed from Phu My Port (Ho Chi Minh City) and docked at Cam Ranh at 10:00, carrying 414 passengers from the United States, Canada and several European countries. After docking, the group visited Trai Ba Nagar National Historic Site, Long Son Pagoda, Dam Market and Truong Son Village, took a cyclo tour around Nha Trang, and joined countryside cycling tours.
During the Hung Kings holiday, the port reported more than 13,000 visitors on bay-tour itineraries around Hon Muoi, Hon Mun, Hon Tam and nearby islands. After years of closure, the Biệt thự Cầu Đá (also known as Lầu Bảo Đại) historic villa complex reopened to visitors, alongside ongoing restoration plans. During 26–27 April, hundreds of visitors explored the site.
In preparation for the May Day holiday and the summer peak, local resorts including the Bai Dai tourism area are fully booked. The Anam resort reported no available rooms due to strong demand, with officials noting that the Bai Dai area attracts many Russian and Korean visitors, limiting domestic availability.
Most hotels in Khanh Hoa kept prices stable to retain guests, with only a few small increases. An inter-agency inspection will continue to monitor price postings at tourism facilities and eateries. Authorities urged visitors and residents to report any price gouging to the hotline.
Industry leaders expect the May Day holiday and the summer peak to be major growth drivers for 2026. The summer highlight program includes art performances, street performances, chi-nhat singing (hat chòi), water shows, folk culture activities, and sea festivals across major venues such as the coastal park and Square 2/4, as well as other large resorts.
To ensure service quality during the peak season, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Khanh Hoa directed local businesses to implement comprehensive service-improvement measures, strictly enforce fire safety regulations, increase supervision of water amusement areas, prohibit unregistered transport, and maintain disease-prevention measures.
Alongside price transparency, venues are urged to manage crowd flow to prevent congestion, crack down on touting, and maintain a civil tourism environment. Food safety and hygiene are prioritized, including sourcing ingredients with traceability and reducing plastic waste to support a Green – Clean – Beautiful destination. The industry also encourages promotional packages, proper signage for transport, and leadership engagement to address incidents promptly and protect visitors’ rights.
