Asset Việt Nam, the entity that owns the chagee.vn domain, says the domain was registered on January 4, 2026, when it became available under a first-come, first-served process. The company states it will develop chagee.vn as part of Course.vn’s education ecosystem, and not for a beverage business.
Asset Việt Nam says the domain previously belonged to an individual during 2023–2025. It adds that there were no objections raised and no acquisition by CHAGEE during that period.
CHAGEE INVESTMENT PTE. LTD sent a legal letter asserting that CHAGEE is a premium tea brand founded in 2017, with a global presence and up to 6,000 stores. The company said its expansion plans target 100 countries.
In its position, CHAGEE argued that the chagee.vn domain is connected to the CHAGEE trademark. It said holding the domain by another party could create consumer confusion and infringe CHAGEE’s rights.
Asset Việt Nam said it will not comply with the demand to refund or cancel the domain within 10 days. The company also reaffirmed its plan to develop chagee.vn within the Course.vn education ecosystem, stating this is independent of CHAGEE’s beverage-related business.
