On April 30, the chain reported strong demand across the country, reflecting higher consumption during peak periods. The system noted very high foot traffic. Systemwide revenue on April 30 rose 55% year over year and 22% versus the same period last year. The number of invoices increased 30% versus a normal day and 27% versus the same period, indicating a clear rise in shopping frequency. This growth suggests holiday shopping demand remains high as consumers plan family gatherings, travel, and home consumption during the break. The AEON system expects footfall in shopping centers and department stores to rise 10-25% across regions. The AEON Hue, Tan An (Tan An), Van Giang (Hung Yen) centers are expected to see larger crowds from people returning home for the holidays. Consequently, AEON's shopping centers and supermarkets will extend operating hours to better serve customers during the holiday.
