On April 24, the Da Nang City Logistics Association held its first congress for the 2026-2031 term, with the participation of nearly 100 members—enterprises operating in port activities, transportation, warehousing, freight forwarding, and supply chain services in the city. The congress of the Da Nang City Logistics Association’s first term (2026-2031) was organized based on Decision Nos. 2737/QD-UBND dated November 26, 2025 and 2781/QD-UBND dated November 28, 2026 by the Da Nang People’s Committee on recognizing the Steering Committee and permitting the establishment of the Da Nang City Logistics Association. At the congress, delegates approved the association’s charter and the operational directions for the 2026-2031 term, focusing on strengthening member linkage, enhancing competitiveness, promoting digital transformation, and expanding domestic and international cooperation; aiming to build a reputable social-professional organization that connects, coordinates and promotes the logistics ecosystem; contributing to Da Nang’s emergence as a regional logistics hub and the East-China–West macro corridor. The congress elected the first Executive Committee for the 2026-2031 term, consisting of 18 members; and at the inaugural meeting, the Standing Committee elected five members; Mr. Tran Le Tuan, CEO of Da Nang Port, was elected President of the Da Nang City Logistics Association. Da Nang City Logistics Association is a social-professional organization of Vietnamese entities and individuals involved in transport, trade, warehousing, and logistics services under the Commercial Law in Da Nang City. The association operates under the state management of the Da Nang People’s Committee and other related agencies as prescribed by law. The association has legal status, a logo, a seal, and its own bank account; it operates under Vietnamese law and the association’s charter approved by the competent state authorities. Its headquarters is at 26 Bach Dang Street, Hai Chau Ward, Da Nang City. As a voluntary organization recognized by law and allowed to operate to cooperate, link, and assist members in developing their professions, improving efficiency, and protecting members’ legal rights; it aims to strengthen connections and integration with organizations in the same field in Da Nang as well as nationwide according to law; it contributes to the socio-economic development of Da Nang and the country. As of April 21, 2026, after just over five months since its establishment, the association has attracted 114 members—enterprises and individuals active in port, transport, warehousing, freight forwarding, and supply chain services in the city. The composition reflects the diversity of economic forms in the logistics sector and the appeal of the Da Nang City Logistics Association. Mr. Tran Le Tuan, the new president, said the Da Nang City Logistics Association’s first congress for 2026-2031 was a successful start, marking the official birth of a social-professional organization in the logistics sector in Da Nang and contributing to stable, sustainable local economic and social development.
