The Ministry of Finance has proposed cutting 58 investment- and business-conditional sectors defined under the Investment Law, including casino operations and karaoke services. The ministry is seeking public comments on a draft Government Resolution aimed at reducing the number of conditional sectors.
Under the draft, the Ministry proposes removing 58 conditional sectors under the Investment Law. Examples listed in the draft include asset appraisal services, bailiff services, duty-free goods, reinsurance, casino operations, karaoke and nightclubbing, betting, alcohol, and rice exports.
The Ministry also proposes adjusting the scope of 12 conditional sectors under the Investment Law. The draft cites areas such as insurance business, gambling, and preschool education activities.

The Ministry expects the Resolution to take effect from July 1, 2026 to March 1, 2027.
