After the 2026 annual general meeting (AGM) season concluded on the afternoon of April 23, 2026, several listed companies announced new chairmen and board leadership changes.
At Novaland JSC’s 2026 AGM, Bùi Cao Nhật Quân—son of Bùi Thành Nhơn—was elected chairman following the AGM’s conclusion on April 23, 2026.
In his opening remarks, Bùi Thành Nhơn said Novaland has built a leadership succession roadmap designed to combine the experience of current leaders with the next generation.
Bùi Cao Nhật Quân (born 1982) holds a degree in Business Administration from Western Washington University (USA). He previously served as Vice Chairman and Deputy General Director of Novaland (2016–2017). Earlier roles include General Director of Saigon V.E.T (2004–2006), General Director of NovaGroup’s Nova Real Estate Investment (2007–2012), and Chairman of Địa ốc Thành Nhơn. On April 16, he also became Chairman of NovaGroup, the entity that owns about 22% of Novaland.
To prepare for an IPO in 2026, HD Securities appointed Vũ Hữu Điền as Chairman of the Board for the 2025–2030 term, effective April 23, 2026.
At the same time, Nguyễn Cảnh Vinh stepped down as Chairman to become Standing Vice Chairman from April 23, 2026.
Vũ Hữu Điền (born 1972) holds a degree from Ho Chi Minh City University of Finance and Accounting and a Master’s in Business Administration and Information Systems from Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management (Belgium).
At MB Securities’ 2026 AGM on March 26, Lê Viết Hải was relieved of the chairmanship. Phan Phương Anh was elected as his successor and will continue as a member of the Board of Directors, President and CEO before assuming the role of Chairman and Legal Representative of MBS for the 2023–2028 term, effective March 26, 2026.
Phan Phương Anh has more than 15 years of experience as CEO of MB Capital and has served as Chairman of the MB Investment Fund and in other MB roles.
At the 2026 AGM on April 8, Chứng khoán Kafi approved reducing the board size from six to five. New board members include Nguyễn Việt Cường, Trần Tuấn Minh, Hà Hoàng Dũng, Trịnh Thanh Cần and Diệp Thế Anh.
On April 10, the Board elected Nguyễn Việt Cường as Chairman of the Board. He has more than 25 years of experience in finance, auditing, investment, and corporate governance, with senior roles at KPMG, Unilever, and VinaCapital. He also served as an independent director at Vietnam International Bank (VIB) from 2019 to 2022.
