Crystal Bay Airlines has appointed Võ Trần Đức Trung as Deputy General Director, with responsibility for flight operations. Prior to joining Crystal Bay Airlines, Mr. Trung worked within VietJet Air’s ecosystem in management and operations roles.
In mid-March, the airline also appointed Le Đăng Khoa as Head of the Cabin Crew. Mr. Khoa previously spent many years at Bamboo Airways, serving as Chief Cabin Manager.
Crystal Bay Airlines is additionally recruiting other key positions, including a roster manager and a crew planning manager. These roles are tasked with building the flight scheduling system for pilots and cabin crew from the pre-operations phase, while ensuring compliance with Civil Aviation Authority regulations on working hours, safety, and lawful operations.
According to data from the National Business Registration portal, Crystal Bay Airlines Joint Stock Company was established on November 6, 2025, with chartered capital of 300 billion VND. The company operates across 51 sectors, with passenger air transportation listed as the main sector.
The airline has three founding shareholders:
Nguyen Duc Chi (born 1969) is described as a discreet business figure who studied and built his career in Russia. At Crystal Bay Airlines, he serves as Chairman of the Board. Bui Tuong Chi (born 1974) serves as CEO. Both individuals are legal representatives of Crystal Bay Airlines.
Crystal Bay Tourism Group was founded in 2016 by Nguyen Duc Chi and focuses on tourism, travel, resorts, and investment in tourism real estate. The company website states that since 2022, Crystal Bay Group has participated in aviation for tourism by organizing and operating charter flights connecting Vietnam with markets including Kazakhstan, Taiwan, Thailand, Russia, Mongolia, and Uzbekistan. The group uses aircraft from VietJet Air and Bamboo Airways, with routes particularly linked to Cam Ranh and Phu Quoc.
In 2023, Crystal Bay established Crystal Bay Tour LLC to build software for selling airline tickets and tours, while also launching marketing and communications activities as part of its travel business.
The Crystal Bay Group is developing and operating resort projects in central Vietnam, including Cam Ranh Riviera Beach Resort & Spa on Cam Ranh’s coast. Other projects mentioned include Rocko Bay Resort in Ninh Thuan developed with NDA Group of France, Selectum Noa Resort in Cam Ranh, and SunBay Park Hotel & Resort in Phan Rang, described as an integrated complex offering accommodation and entertainment services.
The group also has the Peacock Marina Complex, featuring an 81-story twin tower comprising a hotel tower, an apartment tower, and waterfront villas.
