In an interview with the Government Electronic Newspaper on the occasion of launching the “Nation-Building Enterprise” column, Truong Gia Binh, Chairman of FPT, said that nation-building is not only achieved through large-scale achievements, but can begin with each company fulfilling its responsibilities and linking with others to go further. He said FPT’s leadership reaffirmed the company’s readiness to share and accompany the government, move faster and stronger, and accept more challenges in line with the spirit the government is guiding.
Truong Gia Binh said Vietnam is entering a new development phase under the Party’s leadership, with the government focusing on major directions as Prime Minister Le Minh Hung announced: building a modern, innovative government that serves the people; pursuing high and sustainable growth; managing risks; and not accepting “hot growth.” He described this as a long-term development mindset grounded in discipline, order, and responsibility for the nation’s future.
He outlined “two pillars” for national development:
He added that the government and the Party aim to develop science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation as principal drivers of growth, with a modern, people-serving government as the foundation for unleashing Vietnam’s potential.
Truong Gia Binh said FPT has long believed it was “born in a special moment of the country,” and therefore must contribute in a special way. Over nearly four decades, he said FPT has contributed to deploying the nation’s backbone technologies across sectors including taxation, finance–banking, securities, aviation, energy, and more, serving tens of millions of users.
He said globalization is not optional for FPT but a necessary path, and that the company is moving toward an “AI-first” approach—embedding AI at the core of services, processes, and engineers to rapidly close capability gaps. He described the transformation of the workforce into “AI engineers,” where humans lead and AI accelerates and elevates capability.
He also said FPT collaborates with major service providers to develop and commercialize AI solutions by industry at scale, targeting “hundreds of millions of USD” in value.
Truong Gia Binh said Vietnam has a “huge opportunity” in technology, citing a young, intelligent, hardworking engineering workforce. He said that if leveraged properly, Vietnam can become a global technology hub.
He stated that FPT is active in more than 30 countries, driving digital transformation and now AI transformation for major clients. He reiterated that the company’s approach is AI-first, bringing AI to the core of everything—from services and processes to individual engineers—to narrow gaps quickly. He said FPT will coordinate with hyperscalers to develop and commercialize AI solutions by industry at scale, targeting “multi-hundred-million-dollar opportunities.”
Concluding, he said nation-building is a journey rather than a title, requiring commitment, perseverance, and pioneering new things. He said it does not necessarily begin with grand projects, but with each enterprise performing its best and linking hands with others to develop the country.
He said FPT pledges to move faster, stronger, and endure more difficulties in line with the government’s leadership. He added that if the Vietnamese business community acts collectively, “two-digit growth” becomes an inevitable outcome.
Premium gym chains are entering a “golden era” that is ending or already in decline, as rising operating costs collide with shifting consumer preferences toward more flexible, community-based ways to exercise. Long-term memberships are shrinking, margins are pressured by higher rents and facility expenses, and competition from smaller, more personalized…
