Intel Products Vietnam (IPV) has strengthened its manufacturing collaboration in Vietnam, reinforcing the country’s role in Intel’s global production network. The IPV plant covers 46.6 hectares and is Intel’s largest assembly and testing facility worldwide.
Intel said the cumulative output from 2010 to 2021 exceeded 3 billion products, underscoring the plant’s importance to the company’s manufacturing footprint. After 20 years in Vietnam, as of Q2 2025, IPV has exported over 4 billion products, with cumulative export turnover surpassing USD 100 billion.
The facility has also grown into a major production hub for Intel: it accounts for over 50% of the group’s output and supports more than 6,000 jobs.
Intel is also supporting workforce development in Vietnam by funding packaging and testing lines for the SHTP Training Center. The initiative is intended to improve the quality of the semiconductor workforce.
IPV continues to apply Intel’s newer technologies to its products, including the advanced 18A process technology. The plant is also transferring new technologies to produce server CPUs, which Intel says supports AI talent development and advances innovative technology.
According to experts, Intel’s intensified manufacturing presence in Vietnam delivers economic benefits and helps promote the development of the domestic semiconductor industry. They describe this as an opportunity for Vietnam to strengthen its position on the global technology map and create sustainable value for the economy.
Intel also noted that IPV is co-investing in renewable energy as part of its ongoing operations in Vietnam.
