Kornit Digital Ltd. said it has agreed to acquire PrintFactory, a Netherlands-based technology provider of cloud-native workflow, color management and production automation software, as part of its effort to accelerate the digital transformation of the fashion and textile industry. The company said the deal is expected to close in the second quarter of 2026.
Kornit said integrating PrintFactory’s automation capabilities into its platform will strengthen its ability to link demand generation, production workflow and fulfillment into a single digital ecosystem.
Kornit said the global screen-printing market remains heavily reliant on analog processes, even as demand for digital production grows. It cited operational barriers faced by producers transitioning to digital manufacturing, including managing complex workflows, coordinating multiple technologies, streamlining connectivity within IT environments, and maintaining consistent output across different production lines.
According to Kornit, PrintFactory’s technology is designed to address these challenges by enabling unified production workflow management and consistent output across mixed technology environments. The company said this supports producers in achieving predictable results regardless of the technologies deployed on the production floor.
For brands and large production networks, Kornit said workflow automation, production visibility and consistent output are business requirements for distributed manufacturing. It said PrintFactory’s platform helps streamline operations from file preparation through final output, with the goal of reducing media and ink waste while enabling production environments that run faster, leaner and more consistently.
Kornit also said PrintFactory is deployed across thousands of production sites worldwide, supporting more than 3,500 different models of printing and cutting devices. It said PrintFactory’s workflow and color management capabilities are intended to help producers maintain quality across locations, technologies and production environments.
Beyond technology, Kornit said PrintFactory brings an established global install base and a community of more than 10,000 active users, including several of Kornit’s largest customers. The company also cited industry credibility and a team with decades of experience in production workflow and color management.
Kornit said combining workflow automation, color management infrastructure and production technology will help it support customers designing and operating scalable digital manufacturing operations. It also said the acquisition supports a shift toward consultative, solution-oriented engagement across the production value chain.
Kornit described the acquisition as another milestone in its platform strategy to build a connected digital infrastructure spanning the fashion and textile production value chain. It said the enhanced architecture includes:
Kornit said these capabilities create a continuous digital value chain connecting consumer demand to production and fulfillment through a single integrated infrastructure.
“This acquisition is about more than workflow or color management,” said Ronen Samuel, Chief Executive Officer of Kornit Digital. “It is about building the digital infrastructure the fashion industry needs to move from analog production to agile, on-demand manufacturing. By connecting demand generation, production workflow and manufacturing through one integrated platform, we are accelerating the industry’s transition to a new production model.”
Erik Strik, CEO of PrintFactory, added: “For more than three decades, PrintFactory has focused on solving real workflow and production challenges for professional print operations. Joining Kornit opens an exciting new chapter. Kornit’s global reach, innovation culture and platform vision will accelerate our roadmap and significantly expand the value we deliver to customers worldwide.”
Kornit said that upon closing, expected in the second quarter of 2026, PrintFactory will continue to operate from its headquarters in the Netherlands. The company said PrintFactory will maintain an open, technology-agnostic platform and serve its existing global customer base and partners across all markets, including those outside textile and apparel printing and those operating mixed technology environments.
Kornit said the terms of the transaction were not disclosed and that the acquisition is not expected to have a material impact on its near-term revenue or earnings.
PrintFactory is described as a specialist provider of cloud-based workflow, RIP, color management and automation solutions for professional print production. Kornit said the platform has more than 10,000 users globally and is designed to help print operations reduce waste, improve output consistency and streamline production processes across complex environments.
Kornit Digital (NASDAQ: KRNT) is described as a worldwide market leader in sustainable, on-demand, digital fashion and textile production technologies. The company offers end-to-end solutions including digital printing systems, inks, consumables, software and fulfillment services through its global fulfillment network. Kornit is headquartered in Israel and has offices in the USA, Europe and Asia Pacific, serving customers in more than 100 countries.
