London BTC Company Ltd (LSE: BTCOTCQB: VINZF) is positioning itself at the intersection of digital assets and traditional resources, aiming to use gold exploration to support its Bitcoin strategy. CEO Hewie Rattray said the company is pursuing a capital-light approach designed to generate early-stage value from gold prospects and recycle that value into Bitcoin holdings.
Rattray described Bitcoin as the core conviction behind the company, with gold providing “good optionality” and additional exposure over the coming years. He said the company’s intent is to avoid a model that relies on constant dilution to rebuild its Bitcoin balance sheet.
On capital commitment, Rattray said the amount committed “right now is negligible.” He explained that costs begin to accumulate after the company locates a prospect and moves into sampling, assays, and related steps.
Rattray said the company’s long-term goal is to generate value from gold prospects and turn that value back into Bitcoin. He outlined multiple potential monetisation pathways that do not require taking assets all the way through to production, including:
The focus, he said, is to prove an “early monetisation strategy” by identifying how to pick up an exploration asset, turn it into value, and return that value to Bitcoin efficiently and within the shortest time frame possible.
The company’s launch jurisdictions are Nevada and Arizona. Rattray said these locations are “historically friendly mining jurisdictions,” and that there is promise in older assets that had previously been left behind.
He added that higher gold prices have brought more assets back into scope as monetisable and profitable opportunities.
In the short to medium term, Rattray said investors should focus on progress related to sampling and assays, as well as locating assets in Nevada or Arizona. He also pointed to the next stages of development and the process of understanding what is present in the prospects.
Rattray said the company expects a “news-rich period” with activity in Australia and the US, and indicated that upcoming months will be important for developments in both gold and Bitcoin.
Proactive: Hewie, thank you for your time.
