On May 8, 2026, the Department of Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention of Vietnam’s Ministry of Public Security held a ceremony to announce the recruitment and promotion of two FPT Telecom executives to the rank of lieutenant colonel.
The event was attended and chaired by Captain Triệu Mạnh Tùng, a member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Director of the Department of Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention. Also attending were Colonel Lương Đức Minh, Deputy Director of the Department, leaders of Global Technology - Telecommunication (GTEL), and leaders of FPT Telecom.
Following a decision by the Director of the Department, the two executives were officially recruited and promoted to the rank of lieutenant colonel:
The announcement of the recruitment and promotion decisions was described as a milestone recognizing the Ministry of Public Security leadership’s assessment of the two individuals’ training and diligence. It was also presented as a personnel reform aimed at adding outstanding officers to meet mission requirements in the new phase.
In his remarks, Deputy Director Triệu Mạnh Tùng urged the two executives to continue demonstrating managerial and leadership qualities, further develop FPT Telecom, and position GTEL as a leading technology-telecommunications enterprise of the Public Security Ministry and the country. He also emphasized their role in serving national security, maintaining social order, and contributing to socio-economic development.
