In a message, Mr. Duong Cong Minh said 2025 marks an important milestone in SACOMBANK’s development journey, as the bank maintained stable operations amid a volatile economy while nearing the comprehensive completion of its restructuring project. He said this establishes a foundation for a new development phase guided by safety, efficiency, and sustainability.
Despite difficult market conditions, SACOMBANK maintained positive growth momentum in scale. The bank reported that total assets increased by more than 20%. Funding mobilization and outstanding loans also grew in line with guidance from the State Bank. SACOMBANK said it maintained a profitable asset mix with a high share, while ensuring all safety ratios and adequate capital buffers.
However, pre-tax consolidated profit in 2025 reached only 52% of the plan. The bank attributed this to proactive increases in provisions for credit risk, reflecting what it described as prudent governance focused on asset quality and strengthening resilience against rising market risk. SACOMBANK said the outcome provides a solid basis for stable and sustainable growth over the medium and long term.
Alongside business operations, SACOMBANK continued implementing synchronized key projects in information technology, digital transformation, and risk management. In 2025, the bank said it put into operation many important systems and solutions, meeting governance and operational requirements while laying groundwork for a modern, flexible, and adaptable banking model for the next phase.
Under the restructuring program, SACOMBANK said 2025 was also the period when it proactively consolidated its network and operations according to new administrative boundaries. It reported reallocating transaction points, streamlining the organization, and reorganizing human resources according to a roadmap to ensure the system operated smoothly and stably.
The bank also said that, combined with results from addressing the majority of bad debts and distressed assets, fulfilling financial obligations, and essentially resolving cross-ownership and capital contribution issues, it is prepared to move to a new higher stage.
Entering 2026, SACOMBANK defined its action message as “NỘI LỰC VỮNG VÀNG - TIÊN PHONG TIẾN BƯỚC.” The bank said it will continue to expand its scale in a controlled manner, improve business efficiency, and optimize customer value on the open banking platform. It also plans to accelerate the application of technology and data in governance and management.
In parallel, SACOMBANK said risk governance, professional ethics, development of human resources, and building a corporate culture will remain key pillars in its development strategy.
