In March 2026, the State Treasury conducted bond auctions across six maturities—5-year, 7-year, 10-year, 15-year, 20-year and 30-year. Three tenors—5-year, 10-year and 15-year—won bids, with winning yields rising by 2 to 10 basis points compared with the February auction. The winning yields at the end-March auction were 3.6% for the 5-year tenor, 4.11% for the 10-year tenor, and 4.20% for the 15-year tenor.
On the secondary market, the listed value of Government bonds at the end of March 2026 reached VND 2,622,179 billion, up 0.75% month-on-month. The average daily trading value was VND 17,129 billion per session, up 14.91% from February 2026.
Trading activity was split between outright transactions and repos: outright trading accounted for 73.79% of total market trading value, while repos accounted for 26.21%. Foreign investors represented 5.03% of total market trading value, with foreign buyers net purchasing VND 33 billion.
Year-to-date, the State Treasury mobilized VND 80,101 billion. This amount completed 73% of the Q1 issuance plan and reached 16% of the 2026 issuance plan.
