Sun Group has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Gold Mantis, a major Chinese player in interior design and decoration, to implement technology and finalize interior design for key projects. The MoU was signed on April 14 during an official visit and working trip in China by a high-level Vietnamese delegation.
The MoU outlines cooperation for the 2026–2031 period, focusing on construction implementation and the application of Building Information Modeling (BIM) technologies, alongside design and construction solutions for interior decoration for Vietnam’s national-key projects.
Under the agreement, Gold Mantis will act as a strategic partner with Sun Group to furnish interior decoration for the cluster of works serving the APEC 2027 Summit in Phu Quoc. Sun Group said it is concentrating resources to accelerate the project.
Gold Mantis said it follows a “green, clean, beautiful” interior design philosophy, emphasizing environmental friendliness and health-focused design. The company also stated it will apply its experience in design and construction of architectural and interior decoration in specialized fields, including airports, theatres, luxury hotels, and convention centers being developed by Sun Group in Phu Quoc.
“This cooperation with a global partner Gold Mantis also provides an opportunity for our team to absorb modern construction technology, move toward mastering the processes, and elevate the position of Vietnamese construction enterprises in the global value chain,” said Dang Minh Truong, Chairman of the Sun Group.
Gold Mantis was established in 1993 and is described as a leading architecture design and interior decoration firm worldwide. The company has participated in major projects including Beijing Daxing International Airport, Angkor International Airport (Cambodia), the National Grand Theatre of China, and the Hangzhou International Exhibition Center.
Gold Mantis also owns brands including HBA, a global hotel design and interior decoration group (behind Hilton, Hyatt, Four Seasons, and Ritz-Carlton), along with other well-known brands.
