Vietjet Aviation Joint Stock Company (Vietjet) plans to pay a 30% stock dividend after reporting more than 50% growth in 2025 profit, exceeding the target. The information was stated at the airline’s annual general meeting held on April 26 in Ho Chi Minh City. In 2025, the carrier operated 135 aircraft, including 101 aircraft based in Vietnam, ran 254 routes, and served 28.2 million passengers with over 153,000 flights. Consolidated revenue reached VND 82,093 billion, with after-tax profit of VND 2,123 billion, up more than 51% year-on-year and about 20% above plan. The company also contributed directly and indirectly more than VND 10,500 billion to the budget. Vietjet continues to widen its fleet with orders for 100 A321neo aircraft and 50 additional options from Airbus, plus 20 wide-body A330neo jets. Accordingly, Vietjet is among the airlines with the largest orders in the world. In 2026, the airline aims to expand its international network to Europe and the United States, while investing in a new fleet including A321neo, A330neo, and Boeing 737-8. The airline promotes cooperation with partners such as Rolls-Royce, CFM International, and Pratt & Whitney. Vietjet also aims to spearhead the establishment of the International Aviation Finance Center in Ho Chi Minh City in conjunction with Vietnam International Financial Center. Besides expanding operations, Vietjet is investing in an aircraft maintenance center in Long Thành and deploying self-service ground handling at Noi Bai and Tan Son Nhat to optimize costs. The Vietjet Aviation Academy also expanded training with more than 162,000 students in 2025, up 30% from the previous year. In addition, the airline strengthens ancillary services and cooperates with financial and technology partners to diversify revenue. At the meeting, shareholders approved the plan to pay 30% stock dividend and elected two new, experienced board members. Vietjet remains committed to growth under financial discipline and sustainable development orientation. Beyond business results, the airline has received awards such as the Top 10 low-cost carriers with the lowest costs and safest operations in 2025 and the Global Sustainability Award 2025 from AirlineRatings. Speaking at the meeting, Vietjet Chairwoman Dr. Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao emphasized that the company not only provides passenger transport but also connects the economy and creates development opportunities. Vietjet pursues a long-term vision for sustainable growth and disciplined operation. “When shareholders place their trust, we commit to delivering value not only by today’s results, but by a future of sustainable growth, discipline, and more opportunities,” she said.
