Vietnam Connect Forum 2026 (sixth edition), themed “Economy with foreign-invested capital and the domestic economy: Coordinated efforts to unleash sustainable growth in the new phase,” will take place at 1:00 PM on May 13, 2026 in Hanoi.
The forum is organized by the Policy and Strategy Board of the Central Committee and supervised by the Vietnam Economics Association and the Vietnam Economic Times as the leading organizers. Cooperating agencies include the Institute for Policy and Strategy Research (IPSS), the Vietnam Small and Medium Enterprises Association (VINASAME), and the Foreign Investment Enterprise Association (VAFIE).
The event will bring together leaders from the Government, ministries, and central and local authorities, along with associations, domestic and international economic experts, and representatives from both domestic enterprises and FDI enterprises.
Vietnam is entering a new era with the determination to achieve high growth and sustainable socio-economic development. To realize this goal, Vietnam needs substantial investment resources, with 80% mobilized from social resources, domestic enterprises, and foreign direct and indirect investment. The forum highlights the need for a transparent legal framework to encourage both domestic and foreign investors.
In the first month of Q2 2026, Vietnam welcomed major international business delegations to explore investment and business opportunities. In addition, state visits by heads of state to Vietnam in April and India in May are described as opening up cooperation opportunities in the near term, strengthening ties in investment and trade.
