The International Goods Supply Chain Connectivity Event Series 2026 (VIS 2026) is a trade-promotion initiative aimed at connecting Vietnamese enterprises with distribution networks and international importers. The event is designed to promote sustainable exports and increase the value of Vietnamese goods in global markets. The Ministry of Industry and Trade has issued Decision 1049/QD-BCT approving the plan to organize the VIS 2026 event series, scheduled for September 3–5, 2026, at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC) in Ho Chi Minh City.
VIS 2025 attracted 450 international business delegations from 60 countries and territories, with participating partners gathering and signing cooperation agreements.
In a volatile global economy, VIS 2026 is positioned as a key trade-promotion activity supporting efforts to promote investment cooperation and shift supply chains toward sustainable models. The Foreign Market Development Department is the lead unit, coordinating with relevant agencies to implement the event.
The core objective is to strengthen linkages between Vietnamese enterprises and international partners, broadening opportunities for deeper participation in global production networks, with a focus on direct exports to international distribution networks.
Vietnamese enterprises are expected to gain direct access to large-scale international procurement channels, helping expand export markets. The event also provides opportunities to connect with international experts to modernize production in a systematic and sustainable way, with the aim of improving long-term competitiveness.
For international buyers, VIS 2026 offers a chance to meet reputable Vietnamese exporters, broaden and diversify supply sources, and access high-potential new products. The event also creates participation opportunities for suppliers of equipment, machinery, and inputs, supporting domestic production and export activities.
A highlight of VIS 2026 is the formation of a tightly connected ecosystem among supply chain links, including raw material suppliers and manufacturers; investors and procurement units; and supporting services such as logistics, banking, and quality management, alongside policy-making agencies.
The program includes large-scale activities addressing current trade issues, such as an exporting forum combined with an opening ceremony. It also features seminars on green solutions and sustainable production, as well as discussions on strategies to diversify markets through e-commerce and digital technology.
Networking and matchmaking activities will include an expo and direct B2B exchanges between domestic enterprises and international procurement delegations, creating space for contracts and market expansion.
The event is also intended to promote Vietnamese brands and reinforce Vietnam’s role as a high-quality goods supplier meeting the strict standards of major global distribution networks. Beyond establishing a sustainable export platform, VIS 2026 is expected to encourage comprehensive modernization—from technology and machinery to production processes—to increase product value.
To ensure the event’s success, the Ministry of Industry and Trade calls on its units and Vietnamese trade offices abroad to coordinate closely during preparation. Any issues arising during implementation are to be reported promptly for leadership direction.
