Approximately 7,000 projects nationwide require bottleneck resolution in Q3 2026, according to preliminary statistics shared as the Government prepares a draft resolution with special provisions for the National Assembly. Under the plan, local authorities will compile lists and propose concrete handling measures for each project by the third quarter of 2026.
On April 28, the Khanh Hoa provincial National Assembly delegation met with voters in the wards of Nha Trang, Nam Nha Trang, and Tay Nha Trang after the first session of the 16th National Assembly. Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Nguyen Khac Dinh attended the meeting.
Voters said they were interested in the session’s content and expected the 16th National Assembly to continue reforming procedures, issuing strong and feasible measures to remove difficulties, promote economic growth, and stabilize people’s livelihoods.
Voter Nguyen Van Hon of Nha Trang said lawmaking should continue to improve quality and better match practical realities, so that enacted laws are easy to implement and deliver real effects. He also called for oversight activities to focus on issues until they are concluded, with clear accountability for relevant agencies and individuals.
With an emphasis on social welfare, voter Nguyen Hoa of Nha Trang urged the Parliament to regulate elderly healthcare more comprehensively, including a holistic and periodic approach suited to an aging population. He also recommended easier cross-referral pathways within health insurance to reduce administrative hurdles and improve access to high-quality medical services.
During the meeting, voters also raised concerns related to land recovery and resettlement, as well as procedural bottlenecks in projects including the Nha Trang airport and the Bac Hon Ong project. They also cited long-standing planning delays.
Deputy Speaker Nguyen Khac Dinh said the delegation would continue to modernize operations, enhance effectiveness, and meet voters’ expectations. He urged local authorities to stay grounded, grasp the situation, and promptly resolve concerns raised by residents.
Regarding further information on resolving project bottlenecks, the Government is submitting a resolution with special provisions to the National Assembly. Preliminary statistics indicate that roughly 7,000 projects nationwide require bottleneck resolution. In Q3 2026, localities must compile lists and propose concrete handling measures for each project.
The stance of the Party, the State, and the National Assembly is to address issues as they arise, ensuring balanced and reasonable rights for people. Resolving bottlenecks in projects is also described as a key step toward sustaining two-digit growth.
In addition, the National Assembly will conduct nationwide Supreme Supervision on the use of state facilities following administrative reorganization to prevent waste of resources and assets.
