Vietnamese stocks extended their uptrend, supported by gains in the Vingroup stock group. At the close on April 14, the VN-Index rose by 17 points to around 1,776, the highest level in more than a month. Trading value on HoSE exceeded 20.2 trillion VND.
Foreign trading was a positive contributor, with net buying of 195 billion VND across the market.
On HoSE, foreigners net bought about 154 billion VND.
In the afternoon session, the strongest net buying was in VIC (about 185 billion VND). Next were HPG (nearly 179 billion VND), MBB (about 132 billion VND), VHM (nearly 72 billion VND), and GMD (about 53 billion VND).
On the selling side, FPT was the largest net seller (about 191 billion VND). Other net sellers included BID (nearly 61 billion VND), NVL (about 40 billion VND), BSR (about 37 billion VND), and VIX (about 30 billion VND).
On UPCoM, foreigners net bought more than 34 billion VND.
In the afternoon, the strongest net buy at SHS was about 20 billion VND, followed by PVS (nearly 15 billion VND), IDC (about 3 billion VND), VFS (over 1 billion VND), and VGS (about 0.6 billion VND).
On the selling side, HUT topped the list with about 2.3 billion VND net selling, followed by MBS (nearly 1.5 billion VND), VTZ (about 1.2 billion VND), CEO (about 1 billion VND), and MST (about 0.8 billion VND).
