On the morning of May 13 in Hanoi, at the closing session of the 11th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for the 2026–2031 term, businessman Do Quang Hien was officially nominated to join the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for XI tenure.
Representing the Presidium, Ha Thi Nga, a member of the Party Central Committee and Vice-Chairperson—General Secretary of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee for the XI term, presented the report on the outcomes of the first session of the XI Central Committee.
Under the Vietnam Fatherland Front Charter, the XI Central Committee convened its first meeting to nominate 70 individuals to participate in the Presidium, including Do Quang Hien.
On behalf of the Presidium, Bui Thi Minh Hoai, a Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the MTTQ Central Committee, and head of the Party organization, along with central mass organizations, expressed gratitude to the Congress for trust and confidence, and to the Party, State, and people for their continued attention and trust toward the MTTQ Vietnam.
Hoai said: “With all determination, we pledge absolute loyalty to the Party, the Fatherland, and the people; maintain political resolve, uphold ethical standards; be dedicated, proactive, and mobilize democracy, wisdom, and responsibility; implement in a coordinated manner the tasks and solutions to fulfill the resolutions, strengthen national unity; be dynamic, creative, and innovative, and implement the objectives set by the Congress.”
The participation of Do Quang Hien in the Presidium highlights the expanding role of the private sector in social and community work and in nation-building. It also reflects recognition of his responsible, committed, and sustained contributions to the MTTQ’s work, as well as to social welfare and community development over the years.
Do Quang Hien is the founder and CEO of T&T Group; Chairman of SHB’s Board of Directors; Vice Chairman of VINASME; Chairman of the Hanoi SME Association; and a member of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee.
With more than three decades of leadership and management and active participation in social organizations, he has been recognized for contributions to economic development, social welfare, and community activities. He has received multiple decorations, including the First, Second, and Third Class Labor Medals for achievements in productive business operations and contributions to building socialism and defending the country. He is also the only private-sector entrepreneur in the financial–banking sector to receive the Asia Pacific Entrepreneurship Award (APEA) in 2017 from Enterprise Asia.
As a member of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, Do Quang Hien has contributed to MTTQ Vietnam and local activities, particularly in social welfare. His work includes supporting poor households and disadvantaged people, helping mitigate natural disasters and illnesses, supporting heroic mothers, and promoting corporate social responsibility among businesses to contribute to national development and community well-being.
