Crystal Bay Airlines, associated with eastern European tycoon Nguyen Duc Chi, is recruiting flight attendants with compensation levels described as relatively high compared with the aviation sector.
According to information shared on the airline’s official fan page, Crystal Bay Airlines is recruiting for multiple flight attendant positions. The chief flight attendant role is reported to pay about 42 million dong per month, senior flight attendants about 32 million dong, and regular flight attendants about 28 million dong.
The airline’s posted requirements vary by seniority:
Crystal Bay Airlines previously drew attention after announcing plans to recruit pilots to operate the wide-body Airbus A330, with compensation described as high. The airline’s figures include a flight inspector earning up to 12,000 USD per month, captains about 10,000 USD, and first officers about 6,000 USD. Converted, pilot earnings were stated to reach nearly 280 million dong per month, alongside high experience requirements, particularly for wide-body crews.
Crystal Bay Airlines was established at the end of 2025 with charter capital of 300 billion dong. The shareholder structure is reported as: Crystal Bay Group holding 94%, Nguyen Duc Chi owning 5%, and the remainder belonging to Bui Tuong Chi.
Nguyen Duc Chi (born in 1969) is described as a discreet tycoon who studied and built his career in Russia. At the airline, he serves as Chairman of the Board. Bui Tuong Chi (born in 1974) serves as CEO and is also one of the two legal representatives of Crystal Bay Airlines.
Crystal Bay Group Tourism Joint Stock Company, established in 2016, is reported to have charter capital of over 2,659 billion dong. It was founded by Nguyen Duc Chi and chaired by him, and is described as operating primarily in tourism, travel, resort development, and investment in tourism real estate.
Unlike many traditional airlines, Crystal Bay Airlines aims to develop a model linking flights with all-inclusive travel, with a focus on international travelers to Vietnam rather than competing in the domestic market. It also plans to cooperate on code-share with domestic carriers to expand its network and improve tourism connectivity.
In April 2026, Crystal Bay Airlines appointed Vo Tran Duc Trung as Deputy CEO responsible for flight operations. Before joining the airline, Mr Trung worked within Vietjet Air’s ecosystem in roles related to management and operations. Earlier, in mid-March, the airline appointed Le Dang Khoa as Head of the Flight Attendant Division; Mr Khoa previously worked at Bamboo Airways as Chief Flight Attendant (Cabin Manager).

Long-term memberships are shrinking, margins are pressured by higher rents and facility expenses, and competition from smaller, more personalized…
