Diamond Properties, a company related to Mr. Bùi Thành Nhơn, registered to sell more than 2.15 million NVL shares but executed only 930,800 shares via an order-matching method during 17-19 March. The company attributed the shortfall to a change in plan.
Following the trades, Diamond Properties’ NVL holding declined slightly to more than 170.4 million shares, equivalent to 7.63% of charter capital. Before the sale, the shareholder held over 171.4 million shares, representing 7.67%.
This is the second time this year that Diamond Properties did not complete a transaction as registered. Earlier in February, the company had also filed to sell a similar volume of NVL shares as part of portfolio reshuffling, but did not execute due to a change in plan.
NVL’s share price rose sharply over the past month. From 10/03 to 10/04, the stock increased by more than 70%, at times exceeding 17,000 đồng per share—the highest level since September last year. Liquidity also improved, with average daily matched volume reaching tens of millions of shares, higher than earlier periods.
Another factor influencing NVL’s share movement was changes in margin trading conditions. In early April, HOSE published a list of 68 tickers that do not meet margin requirements for Q2-2026, and NVL was not included.
Previously, NVL had faced margin cuts due to delayed financial statements and losses. Margin was later reinstated after the company reported a positive profit in 2025.
The reduction in ownership by the Nhon-related group has been ongoing over recent years. Diamond Properties’ stake was above 10% at the start of 2023, and the company has repeatedly sold down since then, bringing its holding to around 7-8%. Even so, Nhon family-related shareholders still hold a sizable stake, with Mr. Nhơn holding 4.7% of capital as of end-2025.
Looking ahead, NVL targets record revenue of more than VND 22.7 trillion in 2026. The company said it will continue with capital-raising plans, debt resolution, and completion of major projects. NVL also stated that its restructuring process has largely completed the initial phase and is now moving into a stable growth stage.
Premium gym chains are entering a “golden era” that is ending or already in decline, as rising operating costs collide with shifting consumer preferences toward more flexible, community-based ways to exercise. Long-term memberships are shrinking, margins are pressured by higher rents and facility expenses, and competition from smaller, more personalized…
