The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Construction has submitted a document to the People’s Committee recommending the assignment of specific units to manage relocation, compensation, and resettlement for six Thanh Da apartment blocks. The department also proposes approving the relocation of the six blocks (I, II, VIII, IX, X, XI) in Thanh Da Camp in accordance with the approved compensation and resettlement plan.
The Department of Construction recommends assigning Bình Quới Ward to issue relocation decisions consistent with the approved plan. Bình Quới Ward is expected to lead and coordinate with relevant authorities to relocate the owners and residents of the apartment buildings listed above, including residents associated with public housing assets.
The ward will coordinate with the Housing Management and Construction Evaluation Center to report and request the Department of Construction to carry out procedures to reclaim housing under public assets.
In parallel, the investor—Thanh Da Housing Development Joint Stock Company—will coordinate closely with competent authorities to implement relocation in line with the approved plan.
According to the Department of Construction, the six blocks have inspection results indicating that demolition is required. The Bình Thạnh District People’s Committee previously approved the compensation and resettlement plan for these complexes.
The attached document includes decisions and conclusions related to the relocation of the six Thanh Da apartment blocks. The most recent report, dated 17-4, from Thanh Da Housing Development JSC to the Department of Construction concerns conducting a quality assessment of the buildings to evaluate their impact on the blocks.
