Ben Thanh–Suoi Tien metro line extension to connect the Dong Nai provincial administrative center and Long Thanh International Airport is slated for implementation. According to the Dong Nai Provincial Land Fund Development Center – Bien Hoa Branch, this is one of the priority transportation infrastructure projects, which has been approved by the Prime Minister to proceed under an expedited mechanism. Separating compensation and site clearance works into an independent project and entrusting the Dong Nai Land Fund Development Center as the investor is expected to create autonomy, accelerate the schedule, and improve the efficiency of implementation. According to the plan, in April the unit will coordinate with the wards Tran Bien, Bien Hoa, Long Hung, Phuoc Tan and Tam Phuoc to conduct on-site surveys. The surveys will collect information on current land status, housing, construction works, crops, and related assets within the project's scope. This will be an important basis for formulating compensation, assistance, and resettlement plans aligned with reality, ensuring residents' legitimate rights. In parallel, the Center also requests local authorities to enhance information dissemination to help residents understand the policy, thereby building consensus and cooperation during inventory and surveys. The project is expected to open up new development space for the region, promote the formation of modern urban areas, and at the same time create strong momentum for development in commerce and services in the future. The project to invest in extending Ben Thanh–Suoi Tien metro line to the new Dong Nai administrative center and Long Thanh Airport is implemented through the public-private partnership (PPP) method, crossing two provincial administrative units: Dong Nai and Ho Chi Minh City. The total length of the Dong Nai section is 41.4 km, consisting of three main segments: Segment 1 from Ga So - Tan Van to the Dong Nai new administrative center station (SC), about 6.1 km long; Segment 2 from the administrative center station (SC) to SA station (Thu Thiem–Long Thanh railway) about 28.2 km; Segment 3, into Long Thanh Airport, about 7.1 km.
