Program to promote consumption of products and services on the digital environment (the Program) is part of the sustainable digital economy development strategy and an inclusive digital society in the city. The program not only aims to raise the digital capabilities of residents and businesses but also creates momentum for sustainable digital economy development. The city’s targets by 2026 are to achieve a minimum 90% satisfaction rate among residents and businesses when using online public services. At the same time, at least 45% of products recognized as national products, national key products, and OCOP products will be supported for registration of intellectual property rights. This not only helps control the origin and quality of products but also promotes consumption in the digital environment. The city also sets a target by 2030 that the satisfaction rate for residents and businesses using online public services will reach 99%. At least 60% of national products and OCOP products will be registered, protected, and effectively exploited for intellectual property assets. In particular, Ho Chi Minh City will expand the program supporting retail stores to digital transformation across the city, with the goal that 100% of data centers and cloud service providers deploy IPv6 only. To achieve these goals, Ho Chi Minh City will implement many measures such as developing shared digital platforms, promoting the application of Make in Vietnam digital technology products in retail, logistics, and payments. The city will also develop digital infrastructure such as high-speed fiber-optic networks, 5G coverage, and expanding cashless payments in transport and urban life. This program is not only a significant step in promoting digital consumption but also part of the sustainable digital economy development strategy of Ho Chi Minh City. With these efforts, the city is moving toward a future where digital technology is not only a supporting tool but also a primary driver of economic and social development.
