According to the Quang Ngai province Electronic Information Portal, on 21 April 2026, Vice Chairman Tran Phuoc Hien presided over a meeting to hear a report on the investment proposal for a fuel storage facility under 5,000 m3 at Dong Son commune, Xuân An hamlet, Quảng Ngãi province. At the meeting, the leadership representative of the Department of Industry and Trade reported the results of the survey and review of HP Oil Vietnam Joint Stock Company’s proposal to build a fuel storage facility under 5,000 m3. The facility would be built on about 2 hectares, adjacent to water, near the coast, facilitating fuel receipt and distribution by water. Deputy Chairman Tran Phuoc Hien welcomed the investment proposal and stressed that the project is necessary, contributing to ensuring a fuel supply for the locality’s economic and social development. He noted that the implementation must have full legal bases, be consistent with planning, and comply with land use, environmental protection, and fire safety regulations. Based on this, provincial leaders asked the investor to actively coordinate with relevant departments and localities to complete the project dossier in accordance with regulations. The Deputy Chairman instructed the Department of Industry and Trade to lead and coordinate with relevant departments and localities to guide and support the investor during the survey and to ensure compliance with procedures.
