American Vanguard posted downbeat quarterly results on March 16, with CEO Dak Kaye saying 2025 was “a pivotal year” as the company continued to execute business improvement plans. He added that initiatives implemented early last year have increased margins as the agricultural economy begins to recover, and that the company expects “even better results in 2026.”
Shares of American Vanguard fell 2.5% to close at $2.33 on Thursday. The stock is down about 43% over the past month and is trading near its 52-week low of $2.05.
On March 31, Tantech Holdings announced that it priced and closed its $2.15 million registered direct offering. Following the announcement, the stock fell about 54% over the past month and has a 52-week low of $0.32.
On Friday, Tantech shares rose 1.4% to close at $0.37.
On Feb. 12, Mercer International reported weaker-than-expected quarterly results. CEO Juan Carlos Bueno said the company is addressing a challenging hardwood pulp environment that has weighed on results at its Peace River mill. He noted that Mercer has engaged with stakeholders and is pursuing initiatives including shifting the mill’s production mix further toward softwood and engaging government on accretive opportunities related to energy and carbon capture. He added that the company is “considering all options” regarding the asset.
Mercer shares fell 13.9% to close at $1.12 on Friday. The stock is down about 25% over the past month and is near its 52-week low of $1.12.
