On June 12, 2026, the Ministry of Industry and Trade issued Decision No. 1400/QD-BCT applying official anti-dumping duties on colorless float glass products imported from Indonesia and Malaysia. Under the decision, the duties range from 32.78% to 63%, higher than the temporary anti-dumping duties of 15-63.39% in effect since February 2026. The policy takes effect from June 14 and is valid for five years.
In June 2025, MOIT received a request to investigate anti-dumping measures for this product; the domestic industry group representing Chu Lai Float Glass JSC, Ha Long Float Glass JSC, Phu My Ultra-White Float Glass Co., Ltd., and Vietnam Float Glass Co., Ltd filed. On February 3, 2026, MOIT issued Decision No. 228/QD-BCT applying temporary anti-dumping duties on this product; after investigation, authorities decided to apply the official duties from mid-June.
A Vietcap Securities report noted that raising the minimum duty from 15% to 33% could continue to support a trend of higher average selling price for Viglacera's building glass segment. The analyst unit said the higher duties align with management's plan to raise selling prices by about 30-40% compared with the period before the anti-dumping measures.
The official anti-dumping duties are expected to affect the domestic glass industry, with Viglacera benefiting from protective measures that could support ASPs and revenue growth in its building glass segment.
The Vietcap Securities report cited in the article suggests that higher duties could reinforce price trends in Viglacera's building glass segment, aligning with management's stated pricing trajectory.
