Many users have found that VNeID does not display all of their registered phone numbers. In this case, do users need to take any further action, and how long might it take for their numbers to be updated? The VNeID app has started displaying phone numbers (in the Wallet/Documents/Phone numbers section) for users to confirm. However, many users still see only one number even though their numbers are registered as primary subscribers. For example, some users have 2–3 numbers but VNeID shows only one. This raises concerns about whether their information is incomplete or whether additional steps are needed to update or add numbers. According to mobile operators, VNeID showing only a subset of registered numbers is not uncommon. The reason is that information about registered mobile subscriptions is sent by operators to the Identity Management division of the Ministry of Public Security, where data is cleaned, standardized, and updated. These steps are essential to ensure the information displayed in the app is accurate and free of errors. Because there are many mobile subscriptions, updates are done in batches. The process may take around 30 days or more. According to operators’ call-center staff, users should not worry if they do not see all their numbers on VNeID yet. If a user has registered the primary subscription with the operator (via the app or at a service point), then no further action is required, and users have usually received or will receive a message from the operator confirming registration. Therefore, if you see that VNeID has not displayed all registered numbers yet, you should wait for the system to complete the update. If after about 30 days you still do not see all of your numbers displayed on VNeID, you can contact the operator to recheck to ensure the subscription has been correctly authenticated.
