On the afternoon of May 12, delegates at the 11th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for the 2026–2031 term approved the personnel plan for the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for the XI term and agreed to elect the Central Committee for the XI term.
The Congress approved a total of 405 members for the Central Committee for the XI term. The Presidium members were set to be from 72 to 100, while the Standing Committee of the Central Committee was to consist of 12 members.

In terms of the combined structure, the XI Central Committee includes: 201 Party members, 93 women, 105 from ethnic minority groups, 78 from religious groups, and 316 members with bachelor’s degrees or higher.
Age distribution was reported as follows: 41 members aged 40 or below, 179 aged 41–60, and 177 aged 61 and above.
At the congress, 397 individuals were selected to participate in the Central Committee for the XI term, with 8 positions remaining to be filled as suitable candidates emerge.
Of the selected members, 309 were re-elected (77.8%) and 88 were newly introduced (22.2%).
Immediately after the second day’s session, Central Committee members attended the first meeting to harmonize leadership positions. The congress also highlighted strengthening the advisory council’s role in monitoring and social critique, along with revitalizing the Front’s role and reforming its activities to suit new conditions.
