Vietnam’s stock market closed the week on a positive note. Although gains narrowed toward the end of the session, the VN-Index finished at 1,750 points, up 13 points. Trading value on HoSE continued to improve, reaching nearly 22.1 trillion dong.
Foreign investors returned to net buying across the market, with a net purchase of more than 861 billion dong.
On HoSE, foreigners bought net nearly 841 billion dong. On the buy side, foreigners were strongest in TCB with about 218 billion dong, followed by HPG (180 billion), MBB (101 billion), VNM (94 billion) and MSN (72 billion).
On the sell side, foreigners were net sellers most in BID with about 69 billion dong. Other net sell positions included VHM (-44), FRT (-37), VPB (-34) and KDH (-34).
On HNX, foreigners net bought about 24 billion dong. The most bought stock was PVS with about 32 billion dong, far ahead of the rest. The next positions included PVI (1), NTP (1), PLC and VC3 with lower values.
On the sell side, TNG led with about 5 billion dong. It was followed by IDC (-3), IVS (-1), VTZ (-1) and DXP (-1).
On UPCoM, foreigners net sold 3 billion dong. On the buy side, VNZ was net bought about 55 billion dong. Followed by F88, DDV, AMS and MPC, though these buy values were small.
On the sell side, VEA was net sold about 2 billion dong, followed by QNS (-2), VGI (-1), and other smaller positions.
