Against the backdrop of air pollution increasingly affecting students’ health and ability to concentrate, improving classroom air quality is becoming more urgent. Studies cited in the article indicate that poor air quality can reduce cognitive performance, cause fatigue, and affect learning outcomes for children, who are among the most sensitive to pollutants.
LG said the initiative is intended to help create a cleaner, safer learning environment by supporting students’ ability to maintain focus and develop physically and intellectually. The program is also presented as part of LG’s sustainability efforts in Vietnam, with education identified as one of its core focus areas.
At the gift ceremony, Shim Seongbo, Director of the Air Solutions Business at LG Electronics Vietnam, said: “In Vietnam, LG is actively implementing many initiatives aimed at a better living and learning environment for future generations. We believe equipping effective air filtration solutions will help create a clean classroom where students can study and develop with confidence, while also providing a more comfortable working environment for teachers.”
As part of the program, LG donated PuriCare AeroMini air purifiers designed for classrooms, featuring a compact form factor and 360-degree air filtration to circulate and clean air evenly in the room. The devices use HEPA H13 filters capable of removing ultra-fine dust particles, which the article says can help reduce common pollutants such as fine dust, bacteria, and mold—factors that may directly affect students’ health and concentration in school settings.
The article also notes that the purifiers’ flexible design and quiet operation are intended to allow continuous use in classrooms without interfering with teaching and learning. It adds that each classroom uses, on average, two devices.
Representatives at the event highlighted the program’s practical significance, particularly as urban schools in Hanoi place greater emphasis on a safe and friendly learning environment. The article says providing additional air filtration devices is intended to protect students’ health and support long-term improvements in teaching and learning quality.
It also states that in April 2026, 20 more LG PuriCare AeroMini air purifiers will be delivered to Tuổi Hoa Kindergarten in Hanoi, bringing the total donated devices to 70.
