This afternoon, April 6, Hanoi Police held a press conference to report on the city’s security and order situation and the results of security and order measures in the first quarter of 2026, along with several typical cases in the area.
Hanoi Police said they would provide information on five cases. One of the cases involves alleged violations of accounting regulations at Bao Tin Minh Chau Co., Ltd. in Hai Bà Trưng district, Hanoi.
According to the police briefing, at around 1:00 PM on March 25, Bao Tin Minh Chau’s outlets in Hanoi suspended trading, prompting many customers to leave.
The company operates four stores in Hanoi: two on Tran Nhân Tông Street, one on Mai Hắc Đế Street, and one on Cầu Giấy Street.
Around 3:00 PM on the same day, the store at 29 Tran Nhân Tông stopped receiving customers. Local residents reported seeing police enter and leave the premises, after which many boxes of files and documents were taken away.
On March 25 the following day, the entire Bao Tin Minh Chau store network reopened to serve customers. The company stated it would continue to ensure the full rights and lawful interests of customers, partners, and employees.
The Người Lao Động newspaper said it will continue to update information about this case.
