The Hanoi Police are expected to disclose information at a press conference on the security situation and order in Q1 2026 and several representative cases in the jurisdiction at 5:00 PM on 6 April 2026. During the conference, the Hanoi Police are expected to report on cases including violations of food safety regulations; abuse of office resulting in misappropriation of assets; and forgery in official duties in Hanoi and several other localities. Notably, the Hanoi Police will provide information about the accounting violations occurring at Bao Tin Minh Chau Co., Ltd. (Hai Ba Trung district, Hanoi). At around 5:15 PM that day, officers moved several boxes of documents out of Bao Tin Minh Chau’s store at 15 Tran Nhan Tong. Subsequently, police also moved many boxes of documents from other stores into vehicles. Bao Tin Minh Chau is known as one of the oldest and largest jewelry brands in the North. The brand was established in 1989 by Mr. Vu Minh Chau. The store is regarded as the first jewelry business on Tran Nhan Tong Street (Hanoi). At the conference, the agency will also address the case at the Central Institute of Forensic Psychiatry and related units, with actions such as possession, organizing illegal drug use, offering and receiving bribes, facilitating bribes, abusing duties in the course of performing official duties, and falsifying case records. It also clarifies the modus operandi of individuals who exploited the pretense of psychiatric treatment at the Central Institute of Forensic Psychiatry to buy, store, and illegally use drugs, and to store military weapons.
