The Ho Chi Minh City tourism industry has implemented a coordinated set of stimulus programs, diversified products, and strengthened service ecosystem connectivity for the upcoming April 30–May 1 holiday.
The highlights were shared at a press briefing on economic and social issues in Ho Chi Minh City on the afternoon of April 23.
Tran Ngoc Dong Quan, Head of the Travel Management Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, said that alongside traditional programs, travel companies have renewed products to increase cultural and historical experiences. He added that the offerings will be combined with high-quality services and diverse sightseeing options, including by road, by river, metro, sports, and creative experiences.
Prominent tour clusters include “Saigon Biệt động” (Saigon Partisan), the City by Vintage Cars (Retro Rides) experience program, and “Ho Chi Minh City I Love,” connecting the city center with nearby areas such as Can Gio, Cu Chi, and Binh Duong.
For the international visitor market, Quan said new products such as Free Walking Tour, Retro Rides Saigon by Night, Chinatown Night Tour, Underground Escape, and City Tour Ho Chi Minh City will continue to be leveraged, with service quality enhanced.
Regarding river tourism, the Department of Tourism said a series of dinner tours and fireworks viewing on the Saigon River have been launched.
It also noted that hallmark tourism products such as Cho Bình Tây (touching the old era), Đầu ấn Tân Định, Saigon greeting the new day, and Saigon night shines on are being refreshed in content and format.
