Hue's Department of Tourism said that during the two consecutive holidays, the Hung Kings Festival and the Reunification Day holidays, the city welcomed a record number of visitors, with tourism revenue rising significantly. During the Hung Kings Festival from 24 to 28 April, Hue recorded about 395,000 total tourist arrivals (about 98,700 international visitors), and tourism revenue of about 958 billion VND. Average hotel occupancy exceeded 90% (occupancy on the Hung Kings day 10th lunar month at 99%). During 30 April–1 May holiday (April 29–May 3), total arrivals reached about 610,000 (up 73.7% year-on-year); international visitors about 164,000 (up 129% YoY); domestic visitors about 446,000 (up 59.5%). Tourism revenue about 1,350 billion VND (up 85% YoY), average occupancy of lodging facilities reached 99%. In April 2026, Hue welcomed about 774,100 visitors (up 29.7% YoY); international 291,151 (up 28.2%); domestic 482,949 (up 30.7%). Overnight visitors 263,729 (up 20.5%); international overnight 103,780 (up 39.7%). Tourism revenue about 1,689 billion (up 58.3%). From the start of the year to now, total visitors to Hue reached about 2,671,526 (up 30.3% YoY); international 1,136,474 (up 27.7%); domestic 1,535,052 (up 32.3%). Overnight visitors 991,197 (up 20.2%); international overnight 379,341 (up 24.4%). Tourism revenue about 6,234.2 billion (up 70.5%). Notably, during the 30/4–1/5 holidays, ticket revenue for Hue heritage sites hit a daily high of over 3.74 billion VND on 30/4 and over 4.2 billion VND on 1/5. To stimulate tourism, Hue organized various activities, including the Palace of Hue Enchantment program running from 8:00 pm on 25–28 April at the Imperial City, attracting many visitors. This helped Hue's tourism spread on social media, with phrases such as half of Vietnam is in Hue or skip Hanoi for Hue being widely shared.
