Lam Dong Provincial Police Department’s Immigration Management Office has received reports from residents about a high-tech scam involving passport delivery. The suspects contact people who already have passports, claiming they will deliver a different passport and asking for money transfers for express delivery.
According to the police, the suspects impersonate immigration officers or postal workers through calls or messages. They often choose times when residents are not at home, typically during business hours.
When victims say they are not available, the suspects may ask them to allow the package to be left in the yard, with a neighbor, or with an acquaintance. They then demand payment for delivery.

After receiving the money, the suspects stop responding and steal the victims’ assets.
To prevent further losses, the Immigration Management Office of Lam Dong Police urges residents to verify information carefully when receiving calls or messages related to passport delivery.
