On the morning of April 14, the Ministry of Home Affairs inaugurated the National Job Exchange, a digital platform designed to connect more than 53.6 million workers with businesses and support the creation of a transparent, nationwide labor market.
The launch is described as a step in implementing major Party and Government policies on science and technology development, innovation, and digital transformation, including Resolution 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo and Resolution 71/NQ-CP of the Government. The Ministry said the initiative reflects the government’s commitment to digital transformation in the labor and employment sector, identified as a key pillar of socio-economic development.
To build and complete the platform, the Ministry assigned the Employment Department to lead in close cooperation with relevant units and the Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT). The process focuses not only on technology infrastructure but also on data connectivity between systems, with information security emphasized before official operation.
The Ministry said the National Job Exchange was formed in response to urgent practical needs, noting that labor market information is currently dispersed and not well coordinated. It said the connection between workers and employers remains limited, making a centralized, unified platform increasingly necessary.
Vietnam has more than 53.6 million workers, nearly 1 million enterprises, and millions of production and business facilities, cooperatives, and household businesses. The Ministry said this scale requires an efficient nationwide connected system.
In remarks at the inauguration, Minister of Home Affairs Do Thanh Binh said the event marks progress in technology infrastructure and demonstrates a creative mindset and decisive operating spirit across the Home Affairs sector’s digital transformation process.
He said the National Job Exchange can operate effectively and create sustainable value only with active, proactive participation from all levels, sectors, the business community, and workers. The Ministry called for continued attention and close cooperation among ministries, agencies, and localities to integrate and interconnect data, while strengthening communications so the platform becomes a practical tool for people and businesses every day.
For localities, the Ministry asked provincial People’s Committees, Departments of Home Affairs, and the nationwide Employment Service system to quickly shift mindset, identify their role as key “satellite nodes” in the national ecosystem, update and share data, and support enterprises and people in using the platform as an essential everyday tool—gradually reducing information fragmentation.
Emphasizing the central role of enterprises and workers, Minister Do Thanh Binh said their participation is decisive for the platform’s vitality. The business community and workers were urged to access, trust, and use the platform as an official, transparent, and effective launchpad for matching recruitment and job opportunities.
The Ministry said active participation by enterprises and workers will help develop a modern, flexible, and globally integrated labor market, where recruitment and job matching occur quickly and accurately. It said this supports efficient allocation of human resources and sustainable socio-economic development in the digital era.
For state management agencies from central to local levels, the National Job Exchange is positioned as a tool to govern and regulate the labor market, enhance the quality of labor services, and serve as a basis to formulate and implement policies on labor, employment, and social security.
For local authorities, the Departments of Home Affairs, Employment Service Centers, and related agencies will be connected to the platform to update and share data, organize job exchanges, and support workers and enterprises.
For workers, the platform is intended to expand access to job opportunities quickly and transparently without being constrained by administrative boundaries. The Ministry said it uses artificial intelligence to suggest suitable jobs based on skills and experience, and supports profile creation, job search, applications, and participation in online job exchanges.
For enterprises, the Ministry said the platform can reduce recruitment costs, shorten hiring times through nationwide candidate networks, and broaden access to the labor pool.
