Ripple CTO emeritus David Schwartz said he temporarily shut down his XRP Ledger server hub to complete software upgrades, with downtime of less than 10 minutes. The hub, which has been running for several months since its initial plan was revealed last August, is used as a production service with maximum uptime and reliability, and the data collected is intended to help analyze the XRP Ledger network’s behavior and performance.
Schwartz shared the update on X on April 7, stating that the hub was taken offline specifically to carry out software upgrades. He also reported that the hub has operated without issues over the prior two weeks, addressing concerns that the shutdown could have been related to inefficiency.
Separately, the XRP Ledger Foundation’s official X account said an updated XRPL UNL (Unique Node List) was released. The update included the addition of Gen3Labs and the removal of the University of Sao Paulo at the university’s request.
