Solana Foundation has launched a broader security expansion for its DeFi ecosystem, introducing STRIDE and the Solana Incident Response Network (SIRN) as part of a wider effort to strengthen protocol standards, monitoring, and crisis response across the network.
Solana Foundation says the initiative is intended to go beyond code review. In its description, the program evaluates protocols across a broader security framework, publishes findings publicly, and provides qualifying projects with ongoing operational security and active threat monitoring before suspicious activity becomes a larger incident.
The initiative is led with Asymmetric Research and includes several components:
Solana Foundation said STRIDE and SIRN build on security resources it has been rolling out over the past few years, including ecosystem support tools and monitoring services already available to builders at no cost.
The rollout comes less than a week after Drift Protocol suffered a $286 million exploit. Elliptic said the incident showed indicators consistent with prior DPRK-linked operations and cited preliminary findings pointing to compromised administrator private keys. Elliptic’s assessment suggested that DeFi failures can extend beyond smart contract code into governance, access control, and operational security.
According to Solana’s description, STRIDE and SIRN are meant to strengthen how protocols are assessed and how threats are handled in real time—combining public evaluation, ongoing monitoring for larger TVL protocols, and formal verification support for the highest-value targets.

Premium gym chains are entering a “golden era” that is ending or already in decline, as rising operating costs collide with shifting consumer preferences toward more flexible, community-based ways to exercise. Long-term memberships are shrinking, margins are pressured by higher rents and facility expenses, and competition from smaller, more personalized…
