On the afternoon of 6 April, during the first session of the 16th National Assembly, the National Assembly voted to approve the resolution on the election of the Deputy Speaker for the 16th National Assembly. The resolution was approved with 496/496 (100%) delegates voting in favour.
Accordingly, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong, a member of the Party Central Committee and Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam, was elected to the post of Deputy Speaker of the 16th National Assembly.
